The single-player story is told through three player-controlled protagonists whom the player switches between, and it follows their efforts to plan and execute six large heists to accrue wealth for themselves. The game is set within the fictional state of San Andreas, based on Southern California, and affords the player the ability to freely roam the world's countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos, based on Los Angeles. Grand Theft Auto V is played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. As one of the last titles to be released for the seventh generation of video game consoles, Grand Theft Auto V was highly anticipated preceding its release. It is the fifteenth title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the first main entry since Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008. It was released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Wolf reenlisted in 1979 and passed the Delta Force selection where he became a jungle warfare specialist. Two years later, on his 18th birthday, Wolf joined the US Army and in 1977, his ironclad physical and mental abilities helped him pass the Special Forces Qualification Course, earning his Green Beret in the process and was assigned to the 1st Special Forces Group. On Wolf's 16th birthday, in 1973, the family received the news that his brother's unit were ambushed while in patrol and there were no survivors. His brother enlisted in the United States Army in 1971 and served during the Vietnam War.
Under the guidance of his older brother, Wolf learned to hunt in the bayou. In 1967, after his father was seriously injured in a work accident, Wolf and his family moved to Louisiana to live with his paternal grandparents. Terrel Wolf was born on November 1, 1957.
